Vis (Plomin)
The cargo steamer Vis was built in 1921 as the Renteria. In 1946, sailing from Rijeka to Raša for coal and ordered to stay close to the Istrian coast because the Vela Vrata minefield had not yet been cleared, it was shaken by an explosion near Cape Mašnjak at the entrance to Plomin Bay. The 79 m wreck lies at 45–60 m, with the remains of its wooden lifeboats on the seabed beside it.
