Cachorro
Along Pico's north coast between São Roque and Madalena, at a bathing area. A gentle descent leads through arches and tunnels to about 18 m: rainbow and ornate wrasses, parrotfish, Azores chromis, grey mullet, salema porgies, many nudibranchs (including the giant doris), octopus, black morays, slipper lobsters and stingrays on the bottom. Good for beginners, night dives and try-dives.
