Lom Srní (Hlinsko)

A former granite quarry on the edge of Hlinsko in the Pardubice Region, bought in 2014 by the Top Dive diving school, which now runs it as a dive and swimming site with camping. The quarry is up to about 33 m deep; the old scrapyard (Kovošrot) left machinery on the bottom in the western part, and the operator has sunk a bus, an aircraft, a truck and a sailboat. A caisson sits at about 12 m among flooded trees. Fish life is rich: wels catfish (some of them albino), pike, zander, sturgeon, carp and perch. Average visibility is only 3–4 m, and below the thermocline at 7–8 m the water stays cold all year.

depth: 0–33 m
