Salem Express
Roll-on/roll-off passenger ferry, about 115 m long, that struck Hyndman Reef off Safaga in December 1991 while returning pilgrims from Jeddah, and sank within minutes with heavy loss of life. She lies on her side on the seabed at about 30–32 m. The wreck is a mass grave, and many guides treat it with particular respect or decline to dive it.
