Jackson Reef

The northernmost of the four Tiran reefs, with a calm, much-dived southern end and a coral garden at 5–12 m full of black snappers and triggerfish. The exposed northern side is dived in calm (often summer) conditions in blue water looking for scalloped hammerheads. The wreck of the Cypriot freighter Lara, stranded in 1981 and later slipped down, lies off the reef from about 45 m.

depth: 5–45 m
