B-17 Wreck (Calvi)
American B-17 bomber "Her Did" of the 97th Bomb Group, which ditched off Calvi on 14 February 1944 after being hit on a raid against Verona; three crew members did not survive. It sits on clear sand at about 25–28 m below the citadel, around 200 m from shore. The wings and four engines are still there, the cockpit is open with both seats, while the nose and tail are gone. Scorpionfish, morays, cardinalfish and sea bream live on the wreck.
