Helenesee (LEZÁRVA / closed)
The lake is closed. The Helenesee near Frankfurt (Oder), a deep former lignite mining lake, was once popular with divers but has been closed since bank slides in 2021. The mining authority (LBGR) has released only a section of the east shore, and a federal document of April 2026 says that a full reopening is not yet foreseeable.
