Volkano wreck (Sitia Beach)
The wreck of the cargo ship Volkano lies close to the shore off Sitia Beach at 6.5-10 m. It sank around 1980 carrying cement, stayed half sunk for years and was cut in half by divers for safety reasons. Visit Sitia lists it as a day and night dive; there are also dives at Sitia, Vai and other beaches.
