Kőbányai pincerendszer
Beneath Budapest's 10th district lies a 30+ km network of tunnels quarried for limestone from at least the Middle Ages and later used as brewery cellars; after pumping stopped, groundwater flooded the deeper sections. Divers use four flooded 'wells' named after the old Dreher brewery shafts – Park-kút (~30 m), Csíráztató-kút (~32 m), Kerti-kút (~36 m) and Lyukas-kút (~29 m). Only the Park-kút chamber has an open air space overhead and is dived by open-water divers on guided dives; the others are true overhead environments. Expect clear but easily silted water around 10–13 °C, with industrial relics such as beams, pipes, tools and a wrought-iron spiral staircase.
