Batu Bolong

Batu Bolong ('hollow rock') is a small rock pinnacle between Tatawa and Komodo, rising from deep water with only a few rocks above the surface. Its hard corals and sponges are dense and the fish life is extraordinary: clouds of anthias, damselfish, surgeonfish and redtooth triggerfish, schools of sweetlips at a cleaning station, hawksbill turtles, and in the current-swept edges trevally, mackerel, tuna and rainbow runners, with whitetip reef sharks and Napoleon wrasse deeper down.
