Pink Beach
Pink Beach on Komodo Island takes its colour from red coral fragments mixed with white sand. Snorkelling over the shallow reef is easy, and divers follow a sandy slope that drops to about 25 m, steepening into a small wall midway along the beach. Thousands of reef fish including regal angelfish and fusiliers live here, frogfish and leaf scorpionfish hide on sponges, mantis shrimps, crocodilefish and jawfish live in the rubble, and mandarinfish appear in the shallows at night. The water can already be cooler, with feather stars typical of the south.
