Shark Point
Shark Point lies off the west to north-west side of Gili Trawangan, where a flat sandy bottom breaks into a series of ridges and progressively deeper canyons. Whitetip and blacktip reef sharks rest and patrol in the gullies, turtles feed in the shallows, and trevally, snapper and barracuda hang in the current. Around full moon schools of bumphead parrotfish gather here. The Glenn Nusa tug wreck lies nearby at around 30 m. Most centres run it as a drift; current is strongest around new and full moon.
