Biorock (Gili Trawangan)
Off the east coast of Gili Trawangan, steel frames carrying a low-voltage current stimulate coral growth. The Gilis host more than 120 of these Biorock structures, supported by the Gili Eco Trust, and they are now covered in coral and reef fish such as lionfish, sweetlips, batfish and pufferfish. It is an easy, shallow dive close to shore.
