The Cathedral
The Cathedral is a second offshore pinnacle in Belongas Bay, hidden under a small rock that breaks the surface. Steep walls drop to around 40–60 m and the surge can be wild. Clouds of redtooth triggerfish, batfish, trevally and Napoleon wrasse live on it, tuna, barracuda and sometimes mobula rays pass in the blue, reef sharks rest under ledges, and large banded sea kraits and other sea snakes are a signature sighting.
