Omadhoo Playground
A sheltered coral garden around a sandy lagoon at Omadhoo island, sloping from 3 to 8 m before the sand descends to about 29 m. Dived from shore, it is calm and bright, ideal for building confidence, practising buoyancy and photography. Anemonefish, whiprays on the sand and young reef sharks along the edge are typical, with nurse sharks, eagle rays, turtles and nudibranchs also recorded.
