Sherman Tanks (Susupe / Chalan Kanoa)
Three US M4 Sherman tanks lost in the 1944 landing lie semi-submerged in the very shallow lagoon off Susupe and Oleai beach (Chalan Kanoa Lagoon), within the Saipan Maritime Heritage Trail. Depths change with the tide and are barely a few metres, so this is mostly a snorkel or wade; it is not a scuba site in the usual sense.
