Chan Hol

Chan Hol ('little hole' in Maya) is a cenote and cave about 15 km southwest of Tulum and part of the Toh Ha system. The cave was dry during the Ice Age and has yielded several early human skeletons; Chan Hol 3, a woman about 30 years old, lay at 8 m depth more than 1 km from the entrance. ProTec describes it as an almost entirely white, very decorated cave with average depths of 6–8 m; maximum cave depth is about 13 m with the halocline at ~9 m.

Tiefe: 6–13 m
