Chuyo Maru
Coastal freighter (about 89 m, 1,941 t, built 1943) bombed on 30–31 March 1944 and sunk on 1 April; upright on a sandy slope at the West Malakal anchorage with a stern gun, winches and open holds. Human remains are reported in the silt – do not touch. Wrecks are war graves: do not touch, move or take anything – removing artefacts is illegal.
