Peștera Coiba Mare – Lacul Morții végszifon
Coiba Mare opens about 300 m from the hamlet of Casa de Piatră; its stream ends in a sump called Lacul Morții (Lake of Death), which is thought to feed the Tăuz spring 2.5 km away. In 2014 the Finnish divers Sami Paakkarinen and Patrik Grönqvist reached 92.5 m in the terminal sump, the deepest flooded gallery in Romania at the time. In 2016 the sump was blocked by logs washed in by floods.
