Veľké Košariská (Rovinka) – Point40
A large disused gravel pit near Rovinka and Dunajská Lužná, about 28 km from central Bratislava: 59 ha and 40 m deep, considered by Czech and Slovak divers one of the best lakes in the region for both beginners and technical divers. Most attractions lie close to the entry at up to 30 m and are tied in with lines, navigation signs and arrows; a few more sit in the middle of the lake at 30–40 m. Visibility is usually good, over 20 m in winter; a silt layer around 15 m can be swum through to clearer water below. Fish are the usual freshwater set: wels catfish, pike, perch and carp.
