Lake Bohinj – Kramar
Lake Bohinj, Slovenia's largest (3.3 km²) and deepest (45 m) natural lake, lies in Triglav National Park, where diving in the lake is allowed without the park's consent. The Kramar site on a small cape near St John's church has an organised bathing area with steps into the water, making it the easiest shore entry and a favourite for night dives. Most life is on weedy slopes between 2 and 7 m, with a steep wall with overhangs and cracks halfway towards St John's; below about 7 m the bottom turns to bare mud, and the lake exceeds 20 m here. Expect chub and perch, and burbot especially at night. Surface water reaches 25 °C in summer, but it is about 4 °C at depth.
