Soča pool at Idrsko

Between Kobarid and Tolmin the Soča is broad and shallow, but after Idrsko it bends sharply and digs one of the deeper pools on the outside of the curve. It is a shallow (up to ~3 m), easy dive with a moderate current that ends in a long, harmless shallow run. Chub and brown trout swim over the gravel, while marble trout hide among the boulders of the left bank. Water is around 14 °C in summer and about 5 °C in winter; visibility is often poor in summer and better in winter.

Tiefe: 0–3 m
