Junkyard
Junkyard is a purpose-built artificial reef on sand about 400 m off Mae Haad, at roughly 8–12 m. Metal frames, sculptures and other modules placed to encourage coral growth now attract batfish, pufferfish, porcupinefish and cleaner wrasse, with blue-spotted stingrays on the surrounding sand. Sheltered and shallow, it is used for training and as a reliable option when other sites are rough.
