Southwest Pinnacle
Southwest Pinnacle is a group of granite peaks about 13 km south-west of Koh Tao, from roughly 5–8 m on the tops down to about 28–30 m. Pink and gold anemones with anemonefish, black corals and sea fans cover the ridges. Rivers of fusiliers stream over the formation while trevally and barracuda hunt through them, and the resident giant groupers are famously unbothered by divers. A whale shark may pass in season, and leopard shark and blue-spotted rays rest on the sand; a smaller 'Secret Pinnacle' lies a few minutes' swim away.
