Tanote Bay
Tanote Bay is a sheltered bay on Koh Tao's rugged east coast, sloping from 3–5 m to about 18 m along its outer edge. Granite boulders, coral bommies and fringing reef mix with an artificial reef of reef cubes that shelters shy fish and supports coral regrowth. Parrotfish, honeycomb groupers, bannerfish and fusilier schools are common, and lucky divers may meet a blacktip reef shark or a big barracuda.
