Koh Doc Mai

Koh Doc Mai ('Flower Island') is a small, jungle-topped limestone island about 20 km east of Phuket on the way to Shark Point. Its sheer walls continue underwater to around 25–30 m on the eastern side, covered in soft corals, gorgonians, sea whips and yellow tube corals, while the west is a gentler slope. At the base of the east wall are small caverns at about 13 and 18 m. It is one of Phuket's best macro sites, with seahorses, ghost pipefish, many nudibranchs, small white-eyed morays and bamboo sharks in the cracks; leopard sharks visit too.

depth: 3–30 m
