Palong Wall

Palong is a wall and reef along the west side of Phi Phi Leh, north of Maya Bay. Close to the island there is a good chance of blacktip reef sharks, which keep their distance from divers; further out, pinnacles form valley-like swim-throughs covered in fan corals and surrounded by snappers. The site starts shallow and deepens gradually to around 18–21 m, so it suits all levels, and current is rarely an issue. Leopard sharks have been seen in the deeper parts and spotted eagle rays pass occasionally.

depth: 5–21 m
