Turtle Rock
Turtle Rock lies among the rugged rocks of Phi Phi Leh south of Palong Wall towards Maya Bay. The cliffs drop to about 4–12 m, then a terraced reef of bubble, bush and soft corals with overhangs and swim-throughs runs down to 18–22 m and sand. Turtles often feed on the bubble corals, giant snapper schools hang over the reef, and glassfish crowd the northern end pursued by lionfish. Ghost pipefish, seahorses in the bush corals, bent-stick pipefish, mantis shrimp and occasionally harlequin shrimp reward a slow dive; leopard sharks and Kuhl's stingrays visit the sand.
