Viking Cave

Viking Cave (Tham Phaya Nak) on the east side of Phi Phi Leh is named after the old boat paintings inside the cave; the dive is a few hundred metres north of it. The DMCR and local dive centres have built an artificial reef of concrete cube pyramids with a coral nursery, now home to longfin batfish, lionfish, pufferfish, scorpionfish and clouds of glassfish, with leopard sharks resting nearby. North of the blocks the sand turns into natural reef ('Coral City') with soft corals, anemones, barrel sponges, yellow snapper schools and baby blacktip reef sharks in the shallows.

Tiefe: 3–18 m
