Donald Duck Bay
The sheltered bay on the north side of Ko Similan (island 8), named after the Sail Rock boulder that looks like Donald Duck's head, is the main mooring spot and park station of the Similans. Rocky shallows give way to sand and coral bommies, most likely around 15–20 m, with swim-throughs among the boulders on the edges. Green turtles are regular residents, and at night the bay is busy with octopus, squid, cuttlefish, lobsters and many shrimp and crabs. It is mainly used as an easy night or training dive.
