North Point
North Point is a cluster of huge granite boulders off the northern tip of Ko Bangu (island 9), the northernmost site of the Similan chain. The boulders rise from about 35 m to 8 m and form swim-throughs and channels, with soft corals and crinoids on the rock and ribbon eels and mantis shrimps at their base. Cleaning stations here sometimes draw manta rays, and chevron barracuda schools often pass overhead. Visibility is usually excellent, but currents can be strong.
