B-17 Flying Fortress
A brand-new Boeing B-17G of the 97th Bomb Group that was hit during the bombing raid on Vienna on 6 November 1944 and ditched off Cape Polivalo on Vis. It rests upright on sand at 65–72 m, about 150 m from the coast, and looks almost as if it had just landed. Thanks to its depth it is one of the best-preserved WWII aircraft wrecks anywhere.
