The Arch (Point Perpendicular, Jervis Bay)
The Arch lies less than 200 m off Point Perpendicular, at the mouth of Jervis Bay. A gully about 7 m wide and 25 m long leads to the arch itself at about 37 m, the gully behind it drops to about 35 m, and the flat top of the reef is at about 24 m, so bottom time is only about 20–24 minutes. Walls and roof carry excellent fixed growth, there are yellowtail, seapike and leatherjackets, and up to 60 Port Jackson sharks have been seen on the boulders to the east, with a vertical wall running for at least 100 m outside.
