The Docks (Jervis Bay)
The Docks is an open-water site on the northern side of Jervis Bay, named for two rock formations that stretch out like docks. It has kelp beds, boulders, swim-throughs and small caverns including the Double Decker Cave, the Vertical Swim-through and the Slot Cave, to about 21 m. Eastern blue devilfish (found only off southern Australia), common sea dragons, bull rays, giant cuttlefish, wobbegong and a friendly blue groper are typical, and colourful ascidians and gorgonians reward a bright torch. It is good as a second dive or at night, and suitable for beginners.
