The Pipeline (Nelson Bay)
The Pipeline is one of the best macro shore dives in NSW, along the former outfall pipe in Nelson Bay. Seahorses and cowries are the highlights, with pipefish, stingrays, electric rays, moray eels and nudibranchs; there are few large fish. Stone stairs built by a local diver make entry and exit easier. Visibility can be inconsistent, so a torch or camera is recommended.
