Lonsdale Wall – North Wall (Marine National Park, part in shipping channel)
Port Phillip Heads Marine National Park (highly protected no-take zone: no fishing, no collecting). North Wall is the northernmost and one of the steepest parts of Lonsdale Wall: the top is at about 19 m and the wall slopes to a bottom at 60 m, beyond the range of the average diver. Part of the site lies in the Marine National Park and the remainder in the shipping channel, where anchoring is illegal. The wall is a maze of overhangs, caves and crevices with blue devilfish, western blue groper and many temperate invertebrates.
