Outer Point Lonsdale Reef (Marine National Park)
Port Phillip Heads Marine National Park (highly protected no-take zone: no fishing, no collecting). Outer Point Lonsdale Reef is a large area of shallow reef off the extreme south-east tip of the Outer Lonsdale Reef, very exposed and dominated by a huge overhang along its south side with a wide variety of fish and invertebrates; many pelagic fish hang around the drop-off while the ebb runs. It is strictly an ebb-tide dive, never on the flood when currents are very strong and swell can rise with little warning. Anchor just south of the shallow section in about 7 m.
