Coral Bay – Ningaloo Reef (Bills Bay reef)
Coral Bay is the southern gateway to the Ningaloo Reef, about 150 km south of Exmouth, with the fringing reef roughly 1 km offshore enclosing the calm lagoon of Bills Bay. Local operators report a resident, year-round manta ray population plus green turtles, reef sharks, dolphins and dugong, with whale sharks arriving after the March–April coral spawning (season March–August). Over 200 hard-coral species are listed by the dive centre; the exact dive sites are chosen daily on the boat.
