Exmouth Navy Pier (licensed tours only)
Access-restricted dive: the Navy Pier is a Defence Restricted Area and can only be dived on a licensed commercial tour (photo ID and a base entry fee required). The roughly 300 m long working naval pier at Point Murat, about 14 km from Exmouth, is a dense oasis of life among its pilings and is often listed among the top shore dives in the world. Currents are very strong, so the dive is only possible at slack tide and the number and timing of dives change daily with the tides and moon phase. Visibility is limited and entry and exit need care.
