Millstätter See – Liafels
Two walls on the north shore between Millstatt, Pesenthein and Dellach. The 'Kleiner Liafels' drops like a table edge at about 16 m and eases at about 45 m; the 'Großer Liafels' falls in steps from about 18 m to 55 m and, by soundings, on towards the lake's deepest point at 141 m. Below a turbid layer at about 18 m the water is very clear but pitch-dark. The shallows around 8 m have dense plants, schools of fish and small pike.
