Vorderer Gosausee – Taucherwiese Klacklboden
The main dive zone of the Vorderer Gosausee, a natural lake raised by about 12 m for hydropower below the Dachstein. The 150 m 'divers' meadow' runs from the western end of the dam to a prominent boulder. The lake is famous for its very clear water; it is about 96 m deep from mid-June to the end of September and is drawn down to about 36 m in winter, and visibility can drop while it fills.
