Koppenbrüllerhöhle – szifonok / sumps (Obertraun)
The Koppenbrüllerhöhle near Obertraun is the youngest of the Dachstein show caves and an active water cave: depending on the weather a large karst spring flows from its portal or from the bed of the brook below. Beyond the show section lie three sumps; cave diver Gerhard Wimmer was the first to dive through all three, reaching the point farthest from daylight. These are exploration dives, not a public dive site.
