Wolfgangsee – Panzerwand
Steep, partly overhanging walls south of St. Gilgen at B158 road km 30.0–30.2. The name recalls a Sherman tank that went into the lake in the last days of WWII when a convoy heading for Bad Ischl lost it; the wreck lay at about 70 m, was found in the 1970s and later raised. Today it is a deep wall dive for advanced divers.
