Arcadas de São Roque
On Pico's quiet, sheltered north coast in the town of São Roque, a shore dive. The dive starts in tide pools about 3 m deep and follows a wall to the São Roque Arch (about 12 m), a rock formation rising from the seabed almost to the surface, covered in yellow cluster anemones with large schools of yellowmouth barracuda and Azores chromis. About 50 m west a second arch-shaped formation ends the dive.
