Fradinhos
A set of islets about 5 nautical miles southeast of Terceira: the submerged top of an underwater volcanic cone, with the bottom descending progressively to 60 m. Shallow areas have clouds of Azores chromis, large blacktail combers and parrotfish; from about 30 m come black coral, dusky groupers and large red scorpionfish; in open water Almaco jacks, barracuda and often large schools of graceful devil rays (Mobula). An exposed, current-swept open-sea site.
