Gruta dos Camarões (Shrimp Cave)
A crack entrance at about 35 m on the slope of Monte da Guia opens into a high, narrow corridor about 1 m wide and roughly 25 m long, ending in a large cavern with an air pocket; without specialist technical equipment divers cannot surface inside the cavern. Large congers, clouds of narwal shrimp, small nudibranchs and occasionally large Almaco jacks live here. After exiting, decompression and the safety stop are done on the flank of an 8–10 m reef.
