Hammer Headquarters (great hammerhead site)
The shallow sand-bottom site outside Bimini harbour (about 6 m / 20 ft) where Neal Watson's Bimini Scuba Center and Epic Diving run great hammerhead safaris from November to April: the crew baits the water, and when hammerheads stay near the boat divers are invited in for several short sessions. Great hammerheads, bull sharks, nurse sharks and Caribbean reef sharks are seen; the exact spot moves with tides, visibility and boat traffic.
