Tiger Beach
A shallow submerged sand bank on the western edge of the Little Bahama Bank, roughly 30–40 km north-west of West End, Grand Bahama; most dives are static, kneeling on sand at about 6–10 m (to 20 m on nearby reefs) while resident tiger sharks of up to 4.5 m, 20–30 lemon sharks and dozens of Caribbean reef sharks cruise by. Tiger sharks are present year-round but more numerous October–May; great hammerheads appear December–March. Dives are done without cages.
