The Lost Blue Hole (ocean blue hole)
OCEAN (saltwater) blue hole close to shore: a roughly 30 m wide, 60 m deep sapphire-blue sinkhole with a hard-coral rim starting at about 12 m. The shallows have jawfish, gobies, nurse sharks, rays and turtles; lobsters and soldierfish shelter in the wall, and blacknose sharks gather at the bottom in spring and summer (best May to early August). Not a cave and not freshwater.
