Hole in the Wall (El Cabrón Marine Reserve)
Hole in the Wall is a shore dive in the El Cabrón marine reserve: you descend to about 14 m through a hole and cave, then pass a large archway and slope to 22 m. El Cabrón (Arinaga) is Gran Canaria's only marine reserve, between Playa de las Cruces and Risco Verde in the Agüimes municipality; it was listed as an EU Site of Special Scientific Interest in December 2001. Expect a large roncador (grunt) shoal, barracuda, rays and occasionally angel sharks. It is only attempted when wind and current are favourable. Position estimated for the reserve coast; the exact spot is not published.
